Our Work
Overview of Projects
CCF implements projects designed to address the key environmental and socio-economic issues impacting Ghana’s coastal communities. We are currently focusing on four main project components in alignment with the West Africa Coastal Areas Resilience Investment Project (WACA):
- Policy & Institutional Strengthening
Through subnational and national collaboration, we work to build and strengthen policy frameworks that support sustainable coastal governance. Our activities include leadership training, institutional mapping, and knowledge exchange. - Community Engagement & Education
CCF works directly with coastal communities to increase awareness and involvement in sustainable resource management. Community education programs, participatory planning, and training workshops ensure that local voices are integral to the decision-making process. - Physical & Social Investments
CCF facilitates the identification, design, and monitoring of local infrastructure projects that promote resilience against erosion, pollution, and climate change. Examples include constructing protective structures and community resource management plans. - Advocacy & Communication
We strive to amplify the importance of sustainable coastal management through media outreach, policy dialogues, and workshops. CCF’s media actions, IEC materials, and General Assembly events help ensure that our goals reach both the public and policymakers.
